Every habit presents an opportunity for healing. At Pure Modern Wellness, care is grounded in a deep understanding of how oral function, breathing, and structure impact overall health. Specializing in helping adults navigate issues related to sleep disordered breathing, TMJ dysfunction, tongue tie release, and orthodontic stability through individualized, evidenced informed therapy.
My journey into myofunctional therapy began with a desire to understand my own health. A diagnosis of alopecia areata sparked curiosity about how the body’s systems work together and how subtle dysfunction can create lasting effects. In 2019, the discovery of myofunctional therapy revealed an undiagnosed orofacial myofunctional disorder that had been present for most of my life.
My healthcare career began in 2003 as a dental assistant and became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2012 after graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Over time, my passion evolved beyond teeth and toward airway health, functional breathing and root cause healing.
Now, I integrate my previous dental clinical experience with advance training in myofunctional therapy, breathing retraining, TMD support, fascial systems, and cranial strain patterns to deliver care that supports the whole person.
