A healthy oral rest posture includes the tongue resting on the palate, gently sealed lips and nasal breathing. There should be 2-3 mm of freeway space between the molars. Therefore, the jaw is not hinged open or are the teeth touching.

20 Minute Complimentary Conversational Assessment

This assessment is designed for you to ask your questions and get to know your Myofunctional Therapist. We will dive deep into tongue mobility and strength so you will leave understanding what therapy may offer for you. 

 

90 Minute Full Comprehensive Evaluation

This evaluation is a formal virtual work-up. We will review health history, symptoms, evaluate structural functionality and mobility of the tongue. You will leave with with a personalized custom therapy plan that fits your needs and goals.  

 

Depending on your specific needs, additional referrals to collaborating providers may be needed such as an ENT, Orthodontist, Osteopath, Chiropractor, Oral Surgeon, or other specialist to achieve optimal outcomes and address other issues you may be experiencing.

12 Session Comprehensive Program

  • This is a three stage virtual program: Intensive phase, Habituation phase and Retention phase.
  • The program goal is to achieve a normal resting dental freeway space between the maxillary and mandibular teeth by activating muscles to achieve a proper lip seal, tongue posture, swallowing pattern and nasal breathing.
  • Sessions are 30-45 minutes, occurring every two weeks with given home exercises to be practiced 10 minutes twice a day.
